

Many children with learning difficulties also have needs that are traditionally supported by professionals employed in the health sector
The multi disciplinary support team are available from 9 am to 5 pm each day, Monday to Friday.
The team aims to support the child in benefiting from the educational, residential and vocational programmes available at St Augustine's.
They do this in a variety of ways including individual work with the child, group work with students, support for parents and families, support for teachers, instructors, Special Needs Assistants, and childcare workers, crisis intervention, assessment and review, behaviour management programmes, parenting courses, in service training for teachers and Special Needs Assistants, linking with other agencies, etc.
The Programme Team at Saint Augustine's consists of professional staff in the areas of Social Work, Speech & Language Therapy, Psychology and Pastoral Care.
